I'm actually in Australia as well right now (living in Denmark otherwise) and I'll agree that not many people here seem to know about D-A-D. Sad to say that are many international students here that haven't heard of them either... Well, guess it's their loss...! My loss is that I can't be at any of the concerts in october since I'll be studying here for the rest of the year. Luckily I made it to 2 of the club gigs in May!
Anyway, just wanted to comment on the thread since I fully recognize the situation.

Well last time they played a gig in Aussie was in 1990, so no wonder why people don't remember them!

Well, perhaps they don't know them in australia, but my father just returned from Japan and he went looking for Osaka.. He didn't find it, but many of the japanese remembered D.A.D. very well, and of course they liked them!

I remember them and I'm in Melbourne, where DAD were over 10 years ago.
I guess if your not Delta Goodrem or an Australian Idol no-one here remembers you!

my guess is that: Nobody in australia knows about D-A-D because they have'nt heard of them!! ´brilliant thinking!

I just posted this 12 hours ago?
When I play DAD, I am surprised actually how many people do remember. I passed around NFLFTP at uni in 1995 when grunge was king and was thrilled when new people liked it. It is a pity after Riskin It All they stopped releasing CDs here. I recently back ordered everything. Red Eye Records and import store in York St, Sydney CBD is the only place I can find where you can buy a DAD on the Eastern Seaboard! But yes, since 1992, I only got back in touch with DAD via U-Tube. Thank Nerds for the internet!
